Donchi is an artist whose colourful, whimsical style blends traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary influences. From his rooftop atelier in Tokyo, Donchi works primarily with washi, a traditional Japanese paper that is made by hand, and pigments, employing a vibrant palette of colours that blend together like melting ice cream.

Combining techniques such as giclée printing and katazome, a traditional stencil dyeing method, Donchi’s work features motifs of flowers, fruits, animals and humans, their playful forms recalling the charm of childhood doodles.

Printed on 265 g natural high-quality art paper with a matt, uncoated finish and lightly textured surface, that ensures a vibrant display of colours. Printed in Denmark.

Giclée is a printing technique used to attain intense, saturated colours as well as a greater variety of depth and nuances. Combined with the premium art paper, it guarantees the archival conservation of colours for the highest possible age resistance.

This art print comes with a white border around the motif. The sizes displayed indicate the actual size of the art print including the white border.

Fits standard-sized frames. The frame is not included.

Art print bought without a frame is carefully wrapped in silk paper, packed and shipped in a protective cardboard tube. Worldwide shipping is available.
