Japanese Axcis Mariko Tiny Plate - Various Designs
This series of mugs and plates made in Japan feature wild flowers and swans painted with a light touch. The unique texture, as if painted with a brush, is the result of a traditional painting technique called "copperplate transfer. Each piece is slightly different, with blotches and irregularities.
There are mugs and plates with the same pattern, so you can combine them with matching patterns like a cup and saucer.
At the table, it can be used for serving toppings such as jam or butter, as a condiment container, or as a cutlery rest for teaspoons. The pure white porcelain that accentuates the colours also makes a good accessory tray.
It comes in a special box with a logo stamp, and is perfect as a gift.
