The fabric is initially stiff and taut due to a starch coating. Before use, rinse it in lukewarm or cold water to remove the starch (expect a little shrinkage) Once washed, it becomes soft, fluffy, and supple. It offers excellent absorbency, dries quickly, and is also highly durable.
